The Guardian™ Connect continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system is the standalone CGM system from Medtronic designed to help serve the needs of type 1 or type 2 customers on multiple daily insulin injections*. The sensor measures the interstitial glucose every 5 minutes and sends this reading to the Guardian™ Connect App on a compatible mobile device via the transmitter. With predictive alerts this system sends notifications up to 60 minutes in advance of a high or low so that you can act sooner in order to prevent your levels from going out of range. The device is rechargeable and not pump compatible.
